科研方向
1.玉米种子发育关键基因的克隆及功能研究。
种子是人类粮食的主要来源。种子发育涉及大量基因和多种激素的互作,基因表达调控对种子发育至关重要。开展调控种子发育关键基因发掘及其分子机制研究,对于解析调控种子发育机理具有重要意义。课题组从玉米Uniform Mu 突变体库分离了大量种子发育缺陷突变体,尝试通过研究这些突变基因的功能,解析玉米种子发育调控网络。
2.线粒体RNA编辑的机理研究。
生物细胞器普遍存在RNA水平胞嘧啶(C)到尿嘧啶(U)编辑现象,这是产生功能蛋白必不可少的过程。目前普遍认为RNA编辑是由编辑复合体完成的,但是,复合体由哪些因子组成?如何完成编辑?这些问题并不清楚。课题组以拟南芥为材料,通过揭示关键编辑因子的功能,解析RNA编辑的分子机制。
